Jan 11, 2018If I'd eaten a candy every time I thought about selling AT into corporations, I would have no teeth now.
I've been plugging away at building a business with corporate clients for years. First in my imagination, second in reality. The costs pile up; the revenue hasn't.
YET.
Now BodyChance is on the cusp of landing a contract. We are closer than we have ever been.
It won't be for much - maybe breaking five figures - but metaphorically we are smashing through a glass ceiling.
We are not selling presentation skills or stress management or mindfulness - we are selling Alexander's discovery. We have it displayed front and centre.
I am proud of that.
Our identity is unique.
There is no other organisation in Japan offering this service in the corporate sphere. How do we do it? There are some simple things to know:
You need to teach differently.
You need to market differently.
You need to sell differently.
You DON'T need to be an organisation - such as BodyChance - but you DO need to have a clear identity. Lee Warren wears purple - it's memorable.
How can you stand out?
How can you give a consistent message?
Being consistent, and developing the right approach is part of the key to making a corporate gambit work. And making it work is the door to a robust income stream.
That, and patience.
