How To Make Your First Alexander Million

Brendan Nicholls was one of my first mentors. 

I calculated that I paid him 10% of my income annually, to study in his Wealth MasterMind, over a period of two years. I easily earnt that money back through insights, that helped me grow BodyChance beyond anyone’s expectations, including my own. 

However, of the many things Brendan said over our years together, one stands out. It was a throwaway line, and yet it impacted me hugely. Still does today. 

The background is that Brendan’s USP* is “I help you put money in your pocket.” 

His coaching puts you first – your own livelihood, your own freedom. Money for Brendan simple equaled freedom. He wanted to put “money in your pocket” by showing us how to do that. 

And Brendan was not shy in letting us know how it worked for him.  

Over a 25-year career of teaching biz seminars, Brendan channeled his profit into buying properties, and organizing passive cash flow. To those of us who ran businesses, he would advise: “pay your Self first”. He said the common idea of paying everyone else first, was crazy.  

You are in business for you – make it work. It’s an Alexander principle.  

You can’t help others until you are the one who can help your Self, correct? 

Therefore, Brendan advised: “Put 10% of any income into investment, not spending.” That was how you “paid your Self first” in Brendan’s playbook. By looking after your future. 

And Brendan was big on generosity.  

Another 10% - BEFORE TAX (he exclaimed!) – should be given away. Find a cause, give your money. Brendan told us how he spent his 10% in Africa, helping villages personally. 

By the time I met him, Brendan had a 7-figure after-tax income flow from his investments and seminars. That’s a cool million dollars cash a year in income. Brendan loved to boast: 

“I have a billionaire lifestyle, without any of the hassle.” 

So – FINALLY - what was this big thing Brendan said? 

It’s too simple really, and maybe a letdown. But here it is: 

“To earn a million dollars a year, takes a lot of focus and attention.” 

That hit me hard, because at the time I was noticing how often I let my focus go off. 

I have one “singular” life purpose with two elements within it. One element is Buddhist and personal. The other element – which is how I manifest my Buddhist intent – is to see Alexander's discovery become accessible to everyone on the planet.  

And the road to seeing that happen is through building Alexander businesses. 

And by supporting you to do the same. Which is why I started ATSuccess.
