Nothing Sells Itself - Especially Not Love

Years ago a dear friend of mine unexpectedly inherited over a million dollars.

She was broke, in debt and trying to succeed in a string of struggling businesses. The money was like a gift from God, and her dream was to set up a business that ran itself. Just ran itself and delivered a nice dividend when she needed it.

She looked around and found a chocolate vending business that had been running for a year and was looking for someone with $50,000 to buy them out. She jumped into it, buying the patents, the machines, the google add campaign, the website and a free number for customer service.

She lost everything.

She dreamed that this was a business already set-up, already humming away, just doing a little poking here and there to keep it in tune.

The reality of running ANY business is NEVER like that. Someone has to run it, and even if you don't directly have a hand, it will quickly go bad if you don't stay awake to what others are doing.

This is true of your practice. You need to be ON IT.

No-one comes for lessons if they don't know what it is you are doing. Sitting at home, hoping that word-of-mouth, a static Facebook Page and a website will do the trick is thinking just like my friend. It doesn't work.
