A Long, Long Time Ago…
May 14, 2017I’ve boiled it down to this.
FM discovered a universal truth for creatures that move:
Use – through your head's influence on spinal co-ordination – affects Functioning.
FM's discovery resulted in 2 mind-bending applications:
- How to use this discovery to adapt your neuromuscular system to changing environments;
- How human touch can recalibrate a neuromuscular system that has become dysfunctional.
As time passes, I am sure we will add to this list of consequences. Maybe you have another?
A universal discovery has that power – it keeps showing you how nature works. I like to use the singular – Alexander's discovery – because his insight is in the same class as “the earth moves around the sun.”
Alexander's discovery is disturbingly simple.
It takes me all of 10 seconds to explain it, and a lifetime to understand its consequences for our species.
In another half-century or so, Alexander's discovery will start displacing our obsessional focus on food and our digestive system’s behaviour. How? I predict that research will start to make it apparent that a well coordinated system can survive reasonably well on rubbish. Whereas a poorly coordinated system does not.
I’m pretty much living proof of that :-)
This kind of comparative research is impossible to undertake today.
Because there is almost zero, scientific recognition of Alexander’s discovery. Until there is sufficient hard evidence to show how your head/spinal relationship is a key indicator of your functional efficacy to recalibrate other systems, no consequential research can be initiated.
We have a long way to go yet folks.
One century and counting.
