A Profession in Need

As you know, I am still looking for a thirsty group of switched-on teachers who want to make a difference to our success individually, and as a Profession.

Hundreds of teachers flock off to Congresses, and pat each other on the back, and all the while our Profession is going down the gurgler. Not for me.

I don't want to learn how to teach better, I want to find students to teach.

Teachers who understand that also know that the road to gather students is:

- narrow

- focused

- empty of illusions and deceptions.

Or at least it should be.

Undoubtedly self-made success is like that. And by success, I mean teaching! Having students, giving lessons, getting paid.

And forget about the money for a second, think about the service.

Last week I scolded one of my trainees for not doing more to help dentists. He is himself a dentist, and he has in his possession the knowledge, skill and ability to make a life-changing difference to many members of his profession.

HOW CAN HE NOT HELP?

The money will follow you if you start with the good you can do.

Dentists, hairdressers, desk jockeys - there are millions of people you can help. Millions.

They are crying out in pain and ignorance - and as a Profession, we have failed to figure out the means whereby we can help them effectively, across a broad spectrum.
