A Quick Cure for Depression

Feb 19, 2018

Ready to be inspired?

A member of Chancer's exclusive ATSuccess Village has just posted a blog quoting children's opinion of Alexander Technique. It's wonderfully enlightening.

She teaches a regular class at a British school.

Any teacher feeling in the doldrums ought to bookmark this blog and read it every time you lose heart.

"Alexander Technique is like being wirelessly charged. You can just charge up anywhere by plugging into the space and forward and up." -- Xander, 13-year-old

What an era-appropriate explanation!

Or this one:

"I wear glasses, it is a bit like that. I have to clean my glasses so I can see. If I do Alexander Technique it gets my body clearer." -- Marcello, 12-year-old

Tears came to my eyes as I read these testimonials. Why?

I can't help thinking - this is one school, in one village, in one country - of perhaps no more than a dozen in the whole of the United Kingdom.

What would happen to our world if we repeated this in every school?

"It's like opening up a new world, new ideas, a different way to do things and think about things. Every time I see myself doing a habit, like putting my hands in my pockets, I stop and do the right thing and it feels better." -- Sid, 12-year-old

It inspires me to go on.

Thank you Kirsten - hey folks, go and buy her prints and help keep her excellent work funded. She is a talented Alexander-Artist.

And to go on, YOUR work must be funded too.

No government, charity or patron is stepping forward to do that. You are a member of a unique a new Profession, one that requires years of training, and decades of refinement.

How can you sustain such a high level of skill without an appropriate remuneration?

You can't. Teachers leave their Alexander Profession in droves. ACAT - an icon of Alexander excellence for over half a century - is about to close in New York.

Are we going to let our Profession die?

When we stop training teachers, we bleed the sap from an old tree.

But there is currently a rash of little saplings springing up - and many of them trace their roots to Chancer and ATSuccess.

Chancer says: there is money in the world - buckets and buckets of it. It is not a limited resource, and teachers need to figure out how to combine Alexander's discovery with the making of money.

Start being kind to you.

I have been roundly criticised - by even my closest colleagues - for being unashamedly focused on making money. And yet I managed to build and maintain a school three times bigger than its nearest rival. I am doing something right. No apologies for that.

Many lives are being touched positively because of my sharp money-making focus.

And in London, I intend to keep that progress going.

If you are sick of being poor; sick of being the hand-me-down cousin of more successful Professions - join me for two days while I give you EVERYTHING I know to make your practice grow; discover how you can touch more lives than you are doing now.

It's happening March 24/25 at Regent's Park in London.

Chancer will even let you do one day if that's all you can do…
