No really, I was.

A genuine stop-me-in-the-street kind of star. Get my autograph. Of course, it was mostly pimpled adolescents and little kids, but whose fussy when they world loves you like that?

I was making a ton of money for someone my age - barely legal - and bouncing cheques like a ball in a tennis court. Had I saved my money - or done a sensible thing like buy property with all the cash I was letting slip through my fingers - I would be a multimillionaire today.

I didn't plan long term, and I paid the price. Now I am wiser.

Plan the long-term, especially if you are a teacher of Alexander's discovery, is smart.

Why? Because Alexander is Industrial.

It takes a considerable investment of intellectual and emotional capital to have any chance of success at our Profession. We've got one fantastic thing going for us, and a ton of downsides that take considerable intelligence and foresight to overcome.

The upside is our ability to get the kind of results that other practitioners brag about. The downside is… Where do I start? It's been the mission of my life to solve this. And my conclusion is - you can.

But you need to start. Time to quit hoping and do something about it.

The best Christmas present you can give your Self is a commitment to being industrial about your Alexander career. Think ahead, plan, invest.
