BodyChance Bankers Are Surprised

Years ago, Paul Lambert, the coach for my failed BCLA (BodyChance Los Angeles) experiment, finally got the true nature of what we do…

"Oh, you guys are believers!" he declared.

It's true. Even BodyChance's bankers noticed something usual.

At a meeting to discuss a loan, the manager remarked that he had never seen an education business with a revenue stream like ours.

I was curious, and asked him what he meant…

"Your revenue is always appearing in a straight line."

The significance of this was still not apparent to me. I asked more…

"How is that unusual?" I asked.

"Most education companies go up and down a lot, they are not steady like you."

Then I got. No-one leaves BodyChance. Of course, people leave, but only about 5% annually, and then, only for reasons like:

• My husband got a job overseas
•  
• I lost my job and have no money
•  
• My parents are ill and I must stay home
•  

Things like that. Never:

"This is boring."

or

"I don't believe in Alexander anymore."

We have had people who hate BodyChance - but they just end up at ANOTHER Alexander school.

People "convert" to Alexander's discovery.

Once in, almost never out. Alexander is like a religion. A non-cosmic, practical, everyday religion. Nothing to do with future life, only to do with this life.

And convincing people to convert to ANY KIND of religion is an arduous affair.

It is long term, industrial. Alexander is industrial.

It takes a consistent effort with a clarity of focus over many years. And if you are a teacher – or you are working towards that - you need to get started. Soon.
