In BodyChance Japan it is a festive time. The winds of spring brush, and there's smoke coming out of our teaching studio….

Greg Holdaway from Australia completed his "Super BodyThinking" course - 128 slides showing a vast array of anatomical, physiological and neurological tie-ins to Alexander's discovery. A Magnum Opus, from the guy who keeps the academics on their toes.

And eager but tired assembly of BodyChance trainees stumbled out of the room after Greg's 7-hour epic, imbued with a deep and more vibrant view of our work. It's what we serve up to our trainees these days in Japan.

Because these days Chancer is thinking more about…

CONSUMPTION.

What is that?

Think of it this way:

1. First, you must ATTRACT people to your work.

2. Second, you must CONVERT them into a session.

3. Finally, you design how they CONSUME your work.

I am thinking a lot about 3. these days.

Because - as any regular reader knows - Chancer's newest obsession is getting work with businesses. Mostly I have been writing about Steps 1. And 2. BUT.

If you do not have a service that is readily consumable by the employees of the company you land - as a result of joining my course - all your effort goes to nothing.

The scenario is similar to teaching Mum & Dad's precious little 12yo Johnny. Because Johnny didn't book your lesson, Johnny never heard or cared about you. The sale was to Mum and Dad - they paid for Johnny to come to you.

And so it is with working in a business.

The person who pays is not the person who attends.

Which means you have a CONSUMPTION problem. How often have you taught a person who did not choose to be taught? How did that go?

Your ordinary teaching style won't work here.

First, you have a markeaching job, i.e. to market your teaching in such a way that they respond as though they choose to be there.

Quite a challenge.

And a different kind of teaching challenge from your run-of-the-mill lesson plan.

Which is why - starting May 8th - I will include a lot about teaching processes in my "Getting Work with Business" course.
