Does it take a crisis for you to act?

I sometimes bemoan the fact that this is often true of me. Covid19 hits, the bank balance falls, the credit card is beckoning, my holiday are cancelled – sad, hungry faces all around the world wondering why their happiness has been virused away. 

Life is short.

Much better to aspire than despair.
Much better to go towards a dream,
Than run away from a nightmare.

Which do you do: are you motivated best by a crisis or a dream?

Last year, I spend months tossing this question around in my mind. I came to the scary conclusion that it took a crisis for me to act. Then when things got better, I got lazy.

“Lazy” in my case equalled inertia, a failure to focus.

Then I decided – I needed a dream. A new one. And I found it, and although things are tough at the moment, I am feeling happy. I am still living my dream!
