Hell Is Heaven Calling – It’s All Been A Big Misunderstanding

When your biz goes AWOL, when there’s no money to pay your rent, when your inbox has another email from an unhappy student, when you’re partner keeps asking you when are you going to get a real job? When all that is happening, when you are in despair, lost, depressed, confused – this is hell.

Or is it?

Let’s look at pain from the point of view of neuroscience – yes, let’s get off the spiritual train for a minute and jump down into little contested facts about the physiology of movement.

What is the function of pain? Is it friendly or unfriendly?

From my personal point of view, pain may appear to be unfriendly. It confuses my mind, gives me no space for freedom, I don’t know what to do, it keeps hurting – it is horrible.

Or is it?

Pain is your systems flashing red light. When you get into a car – and there’s no oil – there’s a red light that will start flashing. That is the pain of the car. Ignore it, and soon your engine will seize up and your car will, well – die. The flashing red light was friendly. That flashing red light was trying to save the life of the car.

Pain is a flashing red light. It is your nervous system trying to save your life. It is not hell, it is heaven calling you.

The point is – there is no hell. There is only heaven. Only goodness, light and joy. Pain is a reminder of that fact. Pain is there to say: “Hey, this is not the design. This is not the plan. Whatever you are doing, quit it.”

There is no additional thing a person must do to restore harmony. Harmony is the default, it’s the design.

Unity is what we have, separation is what we add.

When your biz is tanking, when the phone isn’t ringing and you worry about paying rent – that is heavan calling. That is your wake up call. That is the universe doing everything it can to tell you that what you are doing right now – Is. Not. Working.

Whatever you are doing now – Is. Not. Working. Do you hear that message when it comes?

It means if you keep on doing what you have been doing, you will keep on getting what you have been getting.

This is what I learnt and why I started ATSuccess. Too many teachers are continuing to do what doesn’t work. They know it doesn't work. Why? They don’t have students. They don’t earn enough money from teaching– and they keep on doing the same thing.
