Integrated Evil

Jul 03, 2017

In Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – the Harry Potter derivative franchise – the no-maj (non-magical) character Jacob Kowalskiis is having dinner with the mind-reading witch Queenie Goldstein.

He has “desires” and the sexy Queenie is totally clear that SHE is the object being desired.

It’s a surreal world that one of my Buddhist teachers imagined for me…

“Imagine you have a HMV-like horn arching out of the top of your head. It is broadcasting every thought, belief, opinion, desire and criticism you have. If that happened, you would understand why Buddha declared us all psychological “sick” and living in world of “suffering”.

The suffering is ours, self-created.

Alexander's discovery offers devastating empirical proof of Buddha’s observation.

Negative states compromise the health of your head-spinal complex, which flows through to damage all your life-sustaining systems. Illness is a symptom of a mind out of control, we always knew it.

When an actor wants to create a scary character, all he must do is move his head and whole Self in an integrated way, while describing how he intends to torture you.

Integrated Evil. Scary.

And what’s the point? Stop Being Careful, Start Being Real

I did it today in a Facebook post on my wall. Check it out. Being careful is a form of tension, a form of “not you” trying to live in a way others would have you be. Pull out the horn and start broadcasting.

Risk is at the core of Alexander's discovery.

Risk to your idenity, your ego; risk to suffocating habits, to desperate relationships, to a dead life doing the thing you don’t want to do, living with the person you don’t like, being the person you start to despise.

If you can’t live with risks, what kind of a teacher are you?

If “safe” is your default, how in God’s name are you qualified to be catalyst of transformation?

I live risk, every day I make a fool of my Self. Whenever I am faced with choices of equal merit, I will opt for the one that I know nothing of, that appears risky…

This is what I teach you to do when you run a group. Live risk. Live the change you say you want other to follow.

Be the transformation you asking them to make.
