Is Rich is A Dirty Word to You?

Sep 10, 2017

Today is the 13th Anniversary of my founding BodyChance.

It's actually been longer than that, but before 2005 I was a one-man band, struggling to make ends meet, while lying awake at night in fright.

I'd never been a business man before.

In fact, I thought I despised such people. They only sought to make money. Here's a way you can check out what you think of the rich:

  1. Do a Freudian free association exercise. Think "rich person" then jot down the images, emotions and words that stream into your consciousness.
  2. Now ask the question: do I want to be that person?

If your answer is no, then forget about making money.

When I first did this, I discovered that I thought "rich" was a dirty world. These people were mean, manipulative users; people who stamped down on the weak, and robbed from the poor. Billionaire Trumpets of vice and filth. Are you anywhere in that camp?

OH, you are milder in your world view?

Trouble is, your unconscious isn't so good a delineating:

  • Making a little money and managing OK
  • Making more money and living well
  • Making a mountain of money and living free

They are the same to your unconscious: because each one has "making money" in it.

Maybe that's not you? Good.

And maybe it is. Question.

Hidden in the darkness of your beliefs, hidden ideas may be lurking that seek to jeopardize your success. In ATSuccess, you will start recognizing and deprogramming that stuff.

NOT YOU?

Well, maybe. I've seen it too many times to discount it.

Failure is sweetened by pure ethics and goodness, and it just tastes better than success.

People who won't "compromise", when the "compromise" is more about being flexible in your thinking, than it is being unethical in your practice. People who feel uncomfortable selling, because they have images of sleazy tricksters conning people out of dough.

Of course, I wouldn't claim all this, if I wasn't once my own example.

When you join my course starting in October, I am on the watch out for it. It won't slip by me, I promise you that. I've had people walk out of ATSuccess because of this.

Always financially challenged people though. Cross fingers, but I never had a successful person walk out on me yet. Evolve and leave, sure. But the challenged huff and puff and push themselves out in indignant righteousness. Ego doesn't like to be challenged.

All lots of fun: challenges, new learning, new ideas and practices…
