Posture Detective – Part I

Aug 03, 2019

Are you a detective when it come to your co-ordination issues?

Sometimes it is necessary. But how?

This is how I explore Alexander's discovery in BodyChance. A student of mine wrote me her own experience recently…

Marja Krappe wrote her version of being a detective:

Couldn't agree more with that 1st theory. [Pain is what is good about you.]

I also got sudden pain in my right hip joint one day after walking about 10 min.
I walk a lot and never ever had pain in my hip joints. So I asked myself, what is it that I'm doing and I got the answer immediately: I was tightening my right side all the way from the pelvis to the armpit.

I stopped doing that and surprise, surprise, pain went away.

I praised The Alexander Technique again! I was also grateful for that pain because it brought my wrong use to my attention so quickly.

Nice

It's what I love about giving lessons.

When you come to my workshop, you get a plan to manage your own Posture.

This is a life skill, something that will accompany you into old age. A skill that is available anytime, anywhere.

No form, no template. Listen, respond, research, figure out, find the answer, find what works. Works every time, because what Alexander discovered is not a theory, it's a truth.

Two more “Posture Detective” stories coming along next. Meanwhile, check out the workshop in Japan next year with me:
