For those of you still reading, congratulations.

And sorry for being rude, but I am fed up with ignorant teachers who complain about having no work - and yet don't do what is necessary to change that. No more polite.

They don't want to cook their dinner - they only want to consume it.

McDonald's made a fortune from people like that.

Because marketing isn't fast.

Marketing is planning a dinner, buying the ingredients, cooking it up, then serving…

Teaching is consumption - it's eating the meal.

It's the last part of a process. And weirdly, it's the easiest part, the most gratifying and fulfilling. It makes sense you'd get addicted to eating, and resist all the work to prepare your meal.

Unfortunately, there is no-one else cooking for you.

Sure - some teachers live off being listed on the web with their Alexander Society, but not many. Others got lucky and have a local physio or doctor streaming a regular assembly of students to them. These tools are like McDonald replacement plans. Quick and fast ways to get students coming in your door.

However, I guess for you - there is no McDonalds.
