The Dance of the Deluded Brain

May 05, 2017

In the third module of my BodyThinking Online course, I illuminate how we manage to be an upright mammalian being.

The leg is the door into the miracle of bipedal locomotion.

As I describe hip, knee and foot movements, I make this phenonomen of two-legged locomotion a recurring theme, throughout the third module of BodyThinking Online.

To kick it off, I review Alexander's concept of Faulty Sensory Appreciation by describing in layman's terms how the brain manages to maintain its home grown delusions. I introduce two functional areas of the brain - Body Schema and Body Image - and how they manage the primary processes behind Alexander's discovery of his own Faulty Sensory Perception.

Rather than go blah, blah on that here, I thought I'd give you a chance watch that video below. 11 minutes…

There are now 20 people - AT teachers and non-teachers, singers, musicians and partitioners of different kinds - in my BodyThinking Online Facebook group, sharing about the content.

66 videos and 18 hours of anecdotes, anatomy and ancillary downloads.
