The Winner of Chancer's Quiz!
Feb 01, 2018Damn!
Chancer was defeated.
Last night I asked for a definition of suffering that did NOT fit within this definition - wanting what you can't have, or being afraid of losing what you do have - and I was sure no-one could find anything.
I forgot my own Buddhist roots, and it took Paul Baxter to remind me.
There's suffering we don't know we have - an all persuasive, underlying active ignorance; it will often masquerade as joy. Feeling happy after eating is this kind of suffering. Feeling fresh after a bath is this kind of suffering.
It's like - when you have a burnt skin, and you run cold water on it - you feel good. However, that "good feeling" is produced by the suffering it hides. It is a form of suffering, unlike any other.
You can see some of the best replies here, including WINNER Paul's at the top.

Tomorrow I am going to be making a big, Big, BIG statement. A statement that is setting a new course for ATSuccess and - I dare say - for the Profession itself.
ATSuccess influence is everywhere these days.
I plan to move to Stage II and start building something. This will be something very new, very different - and around for a long time to come. I think of it as my final act, played out over the next two decades. You'll want to read this.
Wait for it. Coming tomorrow.
